The CNI Advisory Board Welcomes Three New Members

The Commonwealth Neurotrauma Initiative (CNI) Trust Fund Advisory Board welcomes three new members appointed by Governor Mark Warner. Terry Glenn, an Interstate Corrections Compact Coordinator Supervisor at the Virginia Department of Corrections in Richmond, Teresa Poole, MSW, a Clinical Social Worker with Carilion Medical Center in Roanoke, and David B. Reid, Psy.D., Clinical Psychologist and Chief Operating Officer of Comprehensive Health Systems of Fishersville will begin their terms on the Advisory Board as of July 1, 2005. Board composition is stipulated in legislation and members are appointed to fill specific vacancies. Mr. Glenn is appointed as a Virginian with traumatic spinal cord injury; Ms. Poole as a citizen-at-large who shall not be an elected or appointed public official, and Dr. Reid is appointed as a person licensed by a health regulatory board within the Department of Health Professions with experience in brain or spinal cord injury rehabilitative programs or services. All three will serve four year terms ending in 2009.

The next CNI Advisory Board meeting is scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2005 at DRS Central Office. All meetings are open to the public. Accommodations will be provided upon request.
